Mixer Instructions

Rumba Mixer: Begin dancing with your chosen partner. When you hear the bell, change partners with someone nearby. Since rumba doesn’t follow a prescribed line-of-dance as does waltz, simply find someone new to dance with.

Waltz Mixer: Form two lines along the windows to the right (as you face the stage) — followers nearest the windows, leaders alongside the followers. Beginning at the heads of the two lines, pair up and dance once around the floor following line-of-dance (i.e. counterclockwise). When you return to the starting point, pair up with the next person in line.

Although we invite and encourage your participation in the mixers, if you prefer not to mix, please feel free to dance with your chosen partner. We would much rather have you dance than sit!
